instruction. were formed from the ashes of errortype: eleven in 2002. band members included: arthur shepherd - vocals/guitar | adam marino - bass | tom capone - guitar | joseph grillo - guitar | ti kreck - drums, steve sanderson - drums. first eps released through gravity dip, instruction were signed to geffen records with much promise of making them the next u2. but relations soured when the record company first messed with the structure of songs and then consigned the band to playing tours with questionable touring partners through america's heartland, who didn't entirely appreciate arty's anti-bush rants. the band officially called it quits in august 2005 after being dropped from the label. leaving members shepherd, grillo and marino to go on and form "fires". later to be renamed, the mighty "god fires man".
